Battery Waste Management
As per these regulations, the producer (manufacturer, importer) shall be under Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligation for the batteries offered by them in the market and the producer shall be required to meet the collection and recycling targets as given in Schedule II of the Regulations to ensure achievement of EPR obligations.

This e-waste EPR portal is an online e-waste management system where applicants can apply online for a producer registration certificate and recycling target/EPR obligation. All stakeholders, like producers, recyclers refurbished, and manufacturers, are required to register themselves on this system.

Plastic waste Management
he Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Climate Change, Government of India, in its fourth amendment to the Plastic Waste Management Rules, dated February 16, 2022, notified ‘Guidelines on Extended Producer Responsibility for Plastic Packaging’ in Schedule II. As per the notified guidelines, producers, importers, and brand owners (PIBOs) are required to ensure the processing of plastic waste generated due to plastic packaging of products introduced by them in the market.
